PVC gullies
Ever since the nineteen eighties BTNyloplast gullies
just cannot be overlooked in the street. Gullies have evolved considerably as a
result of customers' wishes and market research. Examples are an impact-proof
PE-bottom replacing PVC, a U3-recyclate sump instead of solid-wall, an extended
programme of covers, filter systems and/or swivel joints, varying sand trap
capacity and a KOMO-certificate.
Since October 2010 BTNyloplast has taken a major step towards
sustainability for its gullies range, applying multi-layer recyclate pipe for
heavy-traffic gullies. The pavement and street gullies now successfully applied
by a great many councils in the Netherlands were until recently made of 'virgin'
PVC (or single-wall pipe). With a view to taking a significant step towards
sustainability for this "fastest-growing" plastic gully as well, BTNyloplast now
applies a basic material composed of recyclate for over 50%.
The BTNyloplast heavy-traffic gully (Y-class) is composed of
multi-layer recyclate and complies with the strictest demands. Both the loading
tests and the other dynamic tests have been more than withstood in this respect,
resulting in a KOMO-certificate for these gullies as well.
In brief, the fastest-growing plastic gully now comes in a
sustainable version with an unaffected life span.
